Montage: Listening to this ~3 minute montage will give you a good idea of our compositional style in a short amount of time. The full length versions of each of these pieces follow as tracks 2-9, in the same order. Track 10, "Hard Day," is a bonus track, available for download from our home page.

The Range Riders: 'Duel In The Sun', 'How The West Was Won', 'The Magnificent Seven', 'The Big Country', Gunfight At The OK Corral' and 'The Bravados': these are the movie westerns that I grew up watching on TV. I especially enjoy the sweeping, majestic orchestral themes that enhanced, and in some instances even surpassed, the quality of the movies themselves. 'The Range Riders' is a salute to this type of classic western movie music, that has sadly gone the way of the Western movie genre itself. The Range Riders is available for licensing through Pump Audio. DW

And the Quest Begins: Whether it be setting out on a Crusade to find the Holy Grail, the Fountain Of Youth, the New World, or to find that 'Magic Ring that will save the World'; The beginning of these movie 'Quests', always start with a HUGE, Pomp & Circumstance'; The soldier kissing the loved-one goodbye, promising to return with a bounty of riches beyond compare, leaving the loved-one to wonder if she will ever see him again; The crowds cheering on all the proud, young soldiers as they march-off with their eyes filled with visions of Glory by their Hero, who is boldly leading the way on his Shining White Charger; With a final image of them, marching towards the glittering sun, as the Gates to the Kingdom slowly close behind them. And so, the Quest begins.... And the Quest Begins is available for licensing through Pump Audio.

A View from Montana: What if a piece of music could transport you to a special place? A horseback ride through Paradise Valley, enjoying Mother Nature's palette of Birch, Ponderosa, Red Cedar, and Maple; a helicopter flight, marveling at the vast beauty of the Rocky Mountains and Northern Plains; a whitewater rapids ride through Yellowstone, while dreaming of a winter ski through Teton Pass; or maybe just a few hours of peace and solitude, with the simple toss of a line across the Missoula. Such is the magic of 'Montana.' A View from Montana is available for licensing through Pump Audio.

In the Eyes of Becky Thatcher: 'Racial' issues aside, as an African-American, I have nothing but fond, childhood memories of reading Mark Twain's Adventures of Huckleberry Finn & Adventures of Tom Sawyer books, as well in watching all the film and TV versions; and I wanted to create a wistful piece that evokes Twain's nostalgic vision of 1845 Hannibal, Missouri (fictionally named, St. Petersburg in the books). For those who don't know, the fictional character of Rebecca (Becky) Thatcher is the eternally braided-blonde daughter of Judge Thatcher, and the 'Girlfriend' of Tom Sawyer. One can see Becky walking down the busy Main Street on a beautiful sunny summer morning, watching the Riverboat on the Mississippi River dock-in, and greeting the Well-Fed Banker and Pastor as they pass by; while happily anticipating another exciting, fun-filled day with her 'Sweetheart' Tom, and his pal, Huckleberry Finn. Angela Harry: Amerasian model-actress Angela Harry was one of the most successful models in Japan during the 80's, appearing in hugely popular ads for Diet Coke & Leggs. When she moved to Hollywood in the late 80's, she became known as the face of Sunday print-ads, appearing in Mervyn's and May Co. ads on a near-weekly basis. However, U.S. audiences know her best for her acting turns as Jan Ors in the star wars video game, 'Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II'; and for playing the evil 'Brainiac' scientist Dr. Tina Stokes in the Pamela Anderson TV series, ''V.I.P.' Her breathtaking looks inspired me to begin composing 'Angela Harry' in 2000, but I didn't feel I had enough experience at the time to do it justice. It wasn't until early 2009, when we felt in the 'right place' that I decided to finish the music. For those who are curious about Angela, here are the two best online sources:

Triumph!: The exhilaration of that moment of victory, followed by a LONG sigh of relief in realizing that ALL of the Blood, Sweat, and Tears poured into your efforts have finally paid off; then, asking yourself the question, ''What's Next?' As we discovered, there is NO better way to experience this rush of emotions than to set out composing a piece that could musically express THEM!! Triumph! is available for licensing through Pump Audio.

Voyage of the Realm: From the silent epics of Douglas Fairbanks and Errol Flynn's dash and derring-do in the 30's and 40's, to the quirky charms of Johnny Depp in the 'Pirates' franchise, swashbucklers have had a special place in the hearts of moviegoers from the get-go. 'Voyage of the Realm' transports the listener back to those 'Yo Ho' days, with the cut of the jib and cutlass, the splash of waves equaling the splash of rum, and the spirit of adventure that compelled those who ventured out to relish their 'full-sail' freedom to BE free. Voyage of the Realm is available for licensing through Pump Audio.

Lightfoot: With his unique, melodic-storytelling gifts, singer-songwriter Gordon Lightfoot has always been one of my favorite performers. 'Lightfoot' is an instrumental tribute to him, emphasizing the signature, 'Shanty-Style' sound, that Gordon has made all his own. It is NO accident that the piece makes one want to add lyrics, to sing along! Lightfoot is available for licensing through Pump Audio. DW

Hard Day: Picture yourself in an old Laurel & Hardy short, where from the first waking moment, things go from bad to worse, from mishap to misadventure; until thankfully, the day ends with a flop into a nice, hot 3rd floor apartment tub to relax and forget it all, only to have the tub fall through 2 floors down to the 1st; then, you've gotten the gist of 'Hard Day.'

Dayflower: Dayflower theoretically represents the opening and closing of a flower during a one day cycle. It is written in an arch form, with the harmonics as the center of the piece. Eric later expanded on the work, to make it the second movement of three, in a piece called Ephemeral. It was to be performed on a world tour by a friend at UCSB, before she sprained her wrist and had to cancel the tour. The piece has not yet been performed live, and this is a premier recording. Dayflower is available for exclusive licensing through The Guitar Library. EN

Reel for Angela Harry: This demo reel contains a section of 'Angela Harry' set to the serene droplet and rippling of water. DKW Musicworks is working on a new reel. We will announce our new release by email. Please sign up for our mailing list on the home page.
